Wow...the Long Lost Love segment from Thursday September 17th, 2009 was a tough one to deliver. I am sure it was tougher on Cindy as the words digested in her head.  "Third degree felony...injury to a child.  Her Long Lost Love Adam...who was her first kiss,  was sentenced to 50 years in prison.

I can't comprehend how someone can actually drop a child of 4 years old on their head repeatedly.  Cindy was so excited to have her LLL researched. She was at a loss for words as the news of her LLL was brought to light.

One of the best parts of doing this feature witnessing people who are now mothers, fathers, and even grandparents, transform into the teenager from yesteryear.  They giggle and become giddy as they recall their Long Lost Love from long ago.

Thought's on Don 09/01/2009

Since the first of the year... I  have noticed the 'depth' of personal information that our listeners are willing to share in their pursuit of finding their long lost love.  It has been two years that we have been developing a "trust relationship" with our listeners as we cherry pick the right story for each segment.  As my memory bank down loads the "earlier segments" that we aired two years ago .....I don't recall that we had such deep thought provoking searches.

The "Don and Beth" story is a true love story rooted with a deep respect for one another.  This beautiful love affair,  resonated with our listeners in November of 2007.   I pin point that "Long Lost Love" segment as a turning point for the segment.   Many of today's request...are written from lost innocence of listeners who today are mothers or grandmothers that 'want' some kind of closure from the pain from their yesteryear's broken heart.  The requests that I 'pick' this year have stated that they have listened to this segment for over a year and they are just now feeling comfortable in 'sticking their toe' in the water.  Two years ago I figured I had the shelf life of a carton of milk........but the segment keeps on developing.

Jeff's First 08/25/2009

Hello,  my name is Jeff Spyglass and as I plow through this "blog entry",  my thoughts download memories of my past as I watch other people 'act' and 'respond' outside their comfort zone.  I admire those who without a life compass to direct their course had the courage to charge forward with nothing but "blind faith" as their navigator.
Most of us were born with that "blind faith" etched into our DNA.  As a baby of twelve months having the courage to "take that first step" the baby lets go of the coffee table and starts to walk.... wobble and then falls.  The baby regroups then darts up the table and begins his journey through life as that first "blind faith" test is won.
As we journey through our life, there are relationships that pass by us like a whisper in the wind.  I enjoy putting the pieces of peoples LONG LOST LOVES, FAMILIES, AND FRIEND'S back together so you can see what might have been.
